While in Phoenix, I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in/near Scottsdale. The view from my window was interesting. There are lots of buildings and a shopping center with the mountains rising from the background. I'm planning on exploring those more closely today.
I took a short break yesterday before our dinner function to take pictures of flowers. It was overcast and fairly calm so I thought it would be good to capture some of the flowers. As i was doing so, one of the security guards came up to me and started in talking. I had the feeling he wasn't talking to me just to be friendly. When I asked him, he told me it was okay to take pictures of the flowers but I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the building. Later that night when i was recounting this incident, I figured that they wanted to be sure I wasn't taking pictures of people in their rooms or something. We figured they probably have interesting clientel and I might have appeared as the paparazzi... It was a good laugh.
