As you may notice, I don't have many posts for December. I had two crafts fairs/shows at which I was able to sell some of my products. Around the same time, I were a flurry of other Christmas activities including several musical performances.
The music group I am in, Carillon, performed at Brookside Gardens at the atrium as part of their Garden of Lights. We hadfour hammered dulcimers, a cello, and a guitar player, accompanied by our leader, Paul Oorts who sometimes played bass with us. We've been playing together for years and we sounded very good.
My husband had a birthday sometime during the month. The day after his birthday, we celebrated with homemade stuffed spinach pizza and chocolate cake, both made from scratch.
This left us fast approaching Christmas. My husband spent a great deal of time in his woodworking shop crafting gifts for relatives. He made some lovely vases, a potpourri pot, a kaleidescope, and a toy truck. Of course, I documented his creations in hopes of him making more to sell in the coming year.
Finally, the week of Christmas came and I spent hours preparing for the various entertaining. My parents came to town on Tuesday. Wednesday, Christmas Eve, we had some friends over for dinner. Christmas day, we had some of my husband's relatives over. It was quite a lovely time.
