It was another busy Saturday with chores and errands. I took more pictures while one son was at his tennis lesson. I was frustrated -- we were at a different park this week and there weren't many flowers besides the dandelions. After a a bit of walking around I discovered an evergreen (pine) tree that had buds and new little pinecones. They do look like flowers and I found the mix of greens and browns to be quite calming.
Later in the day, I spent sometime in the yard. Our rhododendrum is flowering for the first time since we moved in and has some lovely pink flowers. The cherry trees have also popped and should be peaking tomorrow. I also shot a bunch of the dogwood in our backyard. Their flowers are not quite open and the petals are curled and have a greenish color. All of these should make for some good shots in the next few days.
