I've been struggling with a headache and other distracting issues most of the week, so I feel like I haven't spent much time behind the lens this week. I did get some equipment sorted out including the set of Spectralstar filters. My mother had sent me all of my father's photography equipment mostly from the 80's and among them were these filters as well as several lenses which I have yet to spend more time 'mastering'. I thought the filters were interesting so I picked up some more on eBay.
I did ponder what it is I am doing with the camera and what is driving my photography subjects. I guess my interest is in capturing texture. I look at my best photos from this week and the lighting was such that I could see the texture of the petals. The lighting also captured a mood that was conveyed one of calm. I suppose it is capturing the calm in my crazy life that is driving my photography.
