When I got back to the busstop tonight from my commute to DC, it was beginning to rain even though the sun was shining. As I was driving to my home, a rainbow appeared, I had to go through three traffic cirles to reach the grocery store parking lot. When I hopped out, I found the view was cluttered with power lines and the rainbow was fading and pale. My husband and I went out to dinner, and I brought my camera along. I was taking a couple shots of a hibiscus outside the restaurant when my husband pointed out the lovely rainbow that had appeared (again). This one was intense enough to actually be a double rainbow. Of course, I had the 60mm micro lens on manual, so I felt like ill-equipped to catch the rainbow at its peak. I switched to an old MF Tokina 28-200mm lens (not my favorite) and again, the pictures I captured were pale compared to what we saw initially.I can only hope one day I'll be ready.
