Tonight, my husband and I went to canoeing on the reservoir again. It had been a long day at work and I needed to relax. The water was exceptionally calm and the temperature was perfect. Based on our paddle the other night, I wanted to see if we could find some mountain laurel. We didn't have to go far -- just to the other side of the main part of the lake. The first bush was not particularly healthy but the lighting was interesting as the sun was setting. We moved down the shore and found a bush that wasn't quite at full bloom.
The third group was the best. There was a bush that was covered with pink blooms next to one covered with the white blooms that I was more accustomed to seeing. Both were at peak bloom. My husband was very good at holding the canoe in position. It is somewhat challenging to take pictures from a boat. I'm hoping some turned out good.
