My older son and several other youth from my parish (St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fulton, MD) recently took a class as on clown ministry. This six week course went over the theology of clowning and some of the particulars of makeup and body movement. They met an additional three times to rehearse to present the Stations of the Cross last Friday.
I was honored to watch one of the rehearsals and to take pictures of them in and out of makeup. I saw them prepare and I saw them in their ministry as they gave a moving performance of Christ's passion. I know it was a growing experience for them, but more importantly, it touched the lives of all who witnessed.
I took as many photos as I could, although I did not want to use flash during their performance.
