So we were under a Winter Storm Warning starting yesterday afternoon all the way through this afternoon. Last night didn't appear too bad and even at 5:30 AM, it didn't look like too much snow. I wasn't feeling well, so I headed back to bed and by the time I rose again, it was snowing hard. All in all, I would guess we got around 8 inches of fluffy snow.
Seeing how rare our snow has been, I went outside twice to try to capture some of the winter beauty. I can admit that it was very cold and I was glad to have some snow pants and high boots. When I went out in the morning, the snow was still coming down and the wind had not picked up so it was sticking to all sorts of surfaces.
After resting much of the day, I went out again around sunset. This time I made it down to the reservoir and walked around the shore, taking pictures of trees and the water. I finally found a holly tree that had a few berries left. As I was coming home, I ran into my husband who had come to see where I had gone. :)
